If Werder Bremen are prepared to sell
Zidan, plenty of clubs will be in line to buy. Mainz
are after a permanent signing or a loan renewal, while
at the same time Zizou seems to have grabbed the attention
of a numerous Spanish clubs.
The Rhein-Zeitung newspaper writes that Mohamed Zidan,
who has scored eight goals this season, has become a
very important player and that his team Mainz would
like to buy him from Werder if it were financially possible.
The Mainz manager Christian Heidel said: "I want
to speak with the Werder director Klaus Allofs about
it, but fear that it is expensive or that Werder dont
want to sell.
"I also fear that Mohamed has captured the interest
of some teams from Spain who can pay high transfer fees,"
he revealed.
Meanwhile the Allgemeine-Zeitung newspaper spoke about Zidan's
first goal and said that it was very risky of him because
team-mates stood in better positions. But he scored a wonderful
goal at the end of the day. "If he hadnt scored,
his team-mates would probably have shouted at him, but luckily
he scored an awesome goal," Mainzs Coach Klopp
commented.
A writer from the same paper says he is very sad to see
Zidan leaving Mainz in the summer, adding that he hopes
there is a chance that the loan deal can be extended. It
does however look unlikely as Mainz haven't got enough money
to buy the striker.
