Mohamed Zidan's Mainz lost their away match versus Stuttgart by two goals to one. Zidan didn't start the game but he came on in the 76th minute.

While Zidan started all the latest matches for Mainz, his coach Klopp put him on bench in last weekend's Bundesliga away clash between VFB Stuttgart.

The homeside took the lead early on as Ljuboja opened the scoring for VFB Stuttgart seven minutes after the kick off. However, Mainz were able to level the score via Da Silva in the 25th minute. In the 2nd half, Tiffert scored the wiiner to end the game in a 2-1 victory for Stuttgart.

After the 2nd goal, Zidan came on to replace Weiland but the Egyptian had little time to impress.
