Date: 26-1-2006
Wrote by: EP's editor Islam Issa

Mainz's medical staff have announced that Mohamed Zidan's injury is not as bad as it seemed, when the player fell still on the floor after a collision with Lucio in the German Cup quarter final. The striker may even feature in the weekend game against FC Koln although it could be too early for him.

Zizou apparently damaged a his right shoulder's collarbone. However, the injury appears to be just bruises on his lower arm and wrist.

However, Zidan is not yet 100% ready, and so had to take a separate training this afternoon (Thursday) in order to see his physical state.
