After his fine performance against
Wolfsburg, Mohamed Zidan was chosen among the best eleven
of the week by Kicker magazine.

Reputable German sports magazine Kicker
chose Egyptian striker Mohamed Zidan as the man of the
match against Wolfsburg. The Egyptian, together with
Da Silva, were given 1.5 (Highest rating in the game)
after their superb display in the match which ended
in a 5-1 win for Mainz.
Not only this, but Kicker also chose Mohamed
Zidan, Auer and Da Silva from Mainz in the "Team
of the Week" which is based on a 3-5-2 formation:
