After a big campaign, the biggest club of Turkey finished the general congress in a peaceful atmosphere and as EP stated before, the favorite president candidate Yildirim Demiroren won the race. Besiktas have 15000 congress members but 11000 of them could vote for the president. Since the morning nearly 7000 members came to the congress centre and voted for their candidates.

Demiroren beat Orman (who wanted Zidan) in the vote...

1st: Yildirim Demiroren: 3272 votes
2nd: Fikret Orman: 3110 votes
3rd: Erol Kaynar: 218 votes
4th: Affan Kececi: 210 votes

Demiroren came to the microphone after the selections and thanked the congress, "I invite everyone to be one after tomorrow for our Besiktas. We'll do everything that comes in our hands for the success of Besiktas."

President Demiroren is a Gas company owner who has strong economical conditions as do his board staff. Demiroren was the candidate who promised Besiktas TV, star players and Lothar Matthaeus as manager. Besiktas needed a young spirited manager who'll command his team with his energy and his desire to succeed after old manager Lucescu. Lothar Matthaeus is currently the manager of the Hungary national team and he known for his record, the only player who played in World Cups five times...

Lothar Matthaeus is expecting to leave Hungary national team now and he'll start transfer work with the President Yildirim Demiroren. Demiroren said before selection, that he'll sign a black star striker who can continue the black star traditions of the Eagles in striker position after Pascal Nouma.

Nicolas Anelka, Sylvian Wiltord, John Carew and Henrik Larsson were in Demiroren's agenda and it is expected one of them may be team-mate with Ahmed Hassan.

Yildirim Demiroren will start work tomorrow with the football team. There were some signings from the old board like Veysel(Genclerbirligi), Ibrahim Akin (Altay), Berkant Goktan (Galatasaray) and from other candidates' close affairs with some players such as Zidan (FC Midtjylland), Zafer Biryol (Konya) and Sedat Yesilkaya (Konya). Demiroren will decide whether to sign with them or he'll ask his new manager about these available transfer options.

After this name won the race, EP can reveal that Besiktas will not have economical problems regarding transfers. Mido and Zidan transfers are not certain because Orman and Kaynar couldn't win the congress. Now, future days will show us what Demiroren will do about his team and the Egyptian stars who had names in Besiktas' agenda. Ahmed 'Mido' Hossam's transfer was not searched by Demiroren, so we can take him to the back plan of the Besiktas side.

But Mohamed Zidan's news and his signing for the club excited the supporters and Besiktas' opting for Zidan is not far away, so the new Chairman can get off on the right path with the fans..
