Zaki's
Wigan faced Notts County in the Carling Cup second round
tonight. The game ended in a 4-0 win for Wigan. Zaki
was rested and didn't start the game but he came on
in the 2nd half to score the 2nd goal and assist the
3rd.
Egyptian striker Amr Zaki continued to impress for
Wigan as he came on during half time to replace Emile
Heskey. The score was 1-0 as Zaki came on but the Egyptian
managed to score another goal and set up Camara for
the 3rd goal as well.
The game featured Wigan and 2nd division side Notts
County. Wigan were expected to win the game and they
truly delivered. Camara put them ahead in the 32nd minute.
The first half ended in a 1-0 lead for Zaki's side.
The Egyptian didn't start the game in order to have
some rest before the important Premiership match of
the weekend. Zaki came on during halftime to replace
Emile Heskey and partnered with Henry Camara in attack.
Zaki was able to double the lead for Wigan on the hour
mark. He also made a nice chip pass to Camara who scored
trhe 3rd in the 62nd minute thanks to Zaki's pass.
In the 90th minue, Polish youngster of Wigan Kupisz confirmed
Wigan's win by scoring a 4th goal.
Steve Bruce was happy with Zaki and his partnership with
Henry Camara. he said:
Henri took his goals well, it was also good to see
Amr on target again.
While the match wasn't televized, EP will try to make the
goal of Zaki available for sdownloading as soon as possible...
