Despite the many twists and turns that surrounded
the transfer of Zaki to the Latics, the deal seems to
be on the way to completion by the start of the new
transfer window on the 1st of July.
Egyptian striker Zaki will be loaned out from Zamalek
for a fee worth £1.5 million for the year long
deal. In addition to this, the contract will contain
a clause that grants Zamalek £500,000 if Zaki
scores 10 Premier League goals. The deal will also let
Wigan have the first option to sign Zaki permanently
at the end of the loan period for a pre-agreed £4.5
million.
It should be noted that Zamalek will attend an all
expenses paid training camp in Wigan next month as part
of the loan deal.
It should be mentioned that Zaki is the primary transfer target
for Wigan this summer. The club also showed interest in Cisse
and Ivan Klasnic as EP reported. However, the Latics already
withdrew from Klasnic deal for medical reasons in the past
few days. to pave the way for Zaki to be Wigan's hottest transfer
this summer.
