EP: What's the latest news Amr?
AZ: "I'm going in the direction of Zamalek"
EP: But you haven't signed a contract yet?..
AZ: "No, but the two clubs have signed a
deal and I'm going to Egypt tomorrow inshallah (God
willing)."
EP: You'd told EP
a few months ago that you "reject playing for
any club in Egypt apart from ENPPI". Does this
suggest that you were forced to transfer out of Lokomotiv?
AZ: "No I've not been forced out at all.
I spoke to ENPPI before agreeing any deal with Zamalek
and the chairman told me it's better to play in the
Ahly-Zamalek game!"
EP: So you actually wanted to return to ENPPI?
AZ: "I spoke to them and they said if you
are going to play in Egypt, play at Al-Ahly or Al-Zamalek,
because they are the first and second clubs, and we're
the third."

EP: What exactly was the reason that Lokomotiv agreed to let
you go?
AZ: "I told them that I just can't adapt at all!
"And I had an old injury and had come without a medical
test. This of course helped Lokomotiv agree."
EP: We're going to miss you on EP. When will you be back?
AZ: (Laughs) "Inshallah [I will]... My contract
with Zamalek is three years."
EP: But are you planning to return to Europe before that?
AZ: "I'll just get back to play here though, and
after that I'll be going abroad again inshallah..."
