Rami Shaaban completed his last training session with
Tottenham Hotspur last night, as part of his trial with
the North London side. EP got the latest views from
the goalkeeper about his trial and hopes for its outcome.
However, it seems as though Spurs have decided to sign
Czech goalkeeper
Radek Cerny.
Shaaban is hoping to successfully persuade
Tottenham officials to offer him a contract, and is
happy with events in London so far. "Everything
is going well," he told EP. "I have been training
with Spurs since Monday, and I will have my last session
on Thursday Inshallah."
The goalkeeper still has good memories and ties of
his times in London and it seems as though this move
would be perfect for him. Tottenham Hotspurs are local
rivals of his former club Arsenal, and Shaaban had got
to know some Spurs players. On his initial arrival in
England in fact, he stayed at
the same hotel as Tottenham and Ireland striker Robbie
Keane, and so it is likely that he will have some links
with Tottenham's players.

"It would be a good move for me considering I still have
my flat and I know some of the players," Shaaban said
to EP.
However, any move is subject to the agreement of the club,
and Shaaban is eagerly awaiting this decision. "Unfortunately
it's not up to me. It's up to the club but I hope it turns
out right."
However, there have been reports from SkySports that Tottenham
have agreed terms with Czech goalkeeper Radek Cerny, off Slavia
Prague, on an 18-month loan deal. The club, however is yet
to confirm this.
