Rami Shaaban was arguably man of the match in his
trial match for Leeds United, in which he faced Oldham
Athletic.
As EP reported, Shaaban was given a trial
at Leeds, and a friendly game against Oldham.
The match ended 0-0 with Rami guarding his net wonderfully.
The Leeds United defense was not on form, and they had
to rely on the Egyptian keeper to deny any goals for
the opponents.
Leeds had a couple of chances, but Oldham were on the
attack. Rami made a number of great saves in the encounter.
David Eyres headed from very close range for Oldham
but Shaaban was firm and stopped a certain goal.
Rodney Jack also got a shot from five yards out after
poor defending, but the former Arsenal stopped was there
to parry the ball away.
This was a convincing game for Rami, although it is
not yet clear what will happen next.
The club's next game is on Sunday, against Spanish champions
Valencia, but it is not known if Rami will feature in
it.
EP will keep you updated on the goalkeeper...
