Rami Shaaban has been on trial at newly promoted French
side St. Etienne for the last few days and participated
for them in a friendly match against Bayonne. The player
told EP that the trial is difficult, but that it is
going well.
Rami Shaaban had some interest from England
and Italy, but chose to go to French side St. Etienne
for a week's trial to see the club and whether it would
be suited to him.
Shaaban told EP that although it is difficult adapting
in a team whose preparations a well underway, he is
happy with the way the trial has gone. "I have
now been here for some days and it's going well. It's
quite hard but that's because they are in the middle
of their pre-season."
Shaaban took part in the second half of St. Etienne's
friendly with lower League side Bayonne as part of his
trial and managed to keep his nets clean. "I played
forty-five minutes in a friendly game that we won 2-0."
The trial ends this weekend and Shaaban will return
to Sweden where he will start to consider his options.
"I'm flying back to sweden on Sunday Inshallah."
More on Rami's prospective move soon.
