EXCLUSIVE: EP contacted Egyptian goalkeeper Rami Shaaban to get the latest on his future, and it seems that the player may well end up spoilt for choice when coming to make a decision on his move. Shaaban told EP that although there are no firm offers yet, a number of clubs from different countries have shown strong interest.

Rami Shaaban is currently enjoying his holiday in Sweden with family, after having spent some time in Egypt. It is expected that when he returns to England he will start to consider his options, as a free agent.

Shaaban described the circulating talk regarding his next move as 'rumours' but also agreed that there is some truth in such claims.

"When it comes to the rumours with the different clubs there is some truth in them"

However, he was quick to reinforce that there have been no offers put forward as yet, although he is aware of the large amount of interest being shown. "I haven't got any concrete offers on the table... But I know that there are clubs interested from England, Holland, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden and Egypt."

This proves that there may have been indeed some contact between the player and Egyptian club Al-Ahly, as was reported in the Egyptian Press recently.

He added, "Such interest can turn into an offer in two days, or it can similarly end up with nothing... Thats the way it goes in this business."

Shaaban has always put his family first when it comes to his decisions, and so it is expected that he will opt for an English club if the circumstances allow it, having settled already in the country. However, clubs from other leagues may also prove attractive for the goalkeeper, who may be in high demand after the experience he must have gained from his time with English Champions Arsenal. The options of returning to either Sweden or Egypt may also make his decision even tougher.
