Rami Shaaban has told EP that he is most likely going
to return to Highbury after his month long loan contract
finishes with current club West Ham United. This is
after he has been unable to action with the Hammers,
which was the main motive behind the move.
Shaaban joined West Ham just before a
crucial FA Cup game at Wolverhampton Wanderers, and
although he was allowed to play in this match, he was
unable to as he had just arrived a day before. This
left the space for substitute keeper Stephen Bywater,
whose performance earned him the man of the match award.
Bywaer went on to play two further First Division matches
against Rotherham United and Bradford City, with Rami
Shaaban placed on the bench.
Shaaban had previously told EP that he had moved to
West Ham in order to get action between the posts. When
asked if he would extend his loan contract with the
Hammers he said "No, there is no point of me being
there if I'm not playing. I have one week left and I
dont think I will play that game either because the
manager won't want to change things knowing that it
is my last game. I will go back to Arsenal and then
take it from there."
West Ham have an FA Cup encounter with Fulham on the
14th of the month which is the final game with Rami
present.
EP wish Rami the best in his carreer and hope that
he can find more action whether at Arsenal or at another
club...
