West Ham United manager Alan Pardew has told the club's
official web site that he is to start with young goalkeeper
Steve Bywater, and not Rami Shaaban in tomorrow's FA
cup 4th round match at Wolverhampton. This is after
the young keeper had an excellent performance in his
side's 3-3 draw with Sheffield United last week.
Rami Shaaban has been at West Ham for
one week now since his loan move from Arsenal. This
may not have been enough time for him to get to know
his team well, and a the same time the good form of
Bywater has led the manager to make this decision. Pardew
said to the club's official site,
"There is no doubt in my mind that Steve (Bywater)
will play at the weekend
"It would be unfair to give him one game and take
him out... He deserves two, maybe three, or whatever
games to see if he can secure it."
However, if Rami Shaaban can impress the manager in
training it is likely that he can persuade him to give
him a starting position in the coming matches.
EP wish Rami the best in his time at West Ham and hope
that he can secure a starting place as soon as possible..
