Rami Shaaban recorded his first Fredrikstad game Saturday (January 7th) during the club's participation in the 20th annual 5-a-side indoor Salzbrenner Cup in Hamburg, Germany.

Shaaban is reported as saying he doesn't consider this his real debut for the club, as this tournament is just for fun.

Fredrikstad newspaper Fredriksstad Blad reports that Shaaban made a very good impression in the tournament.

The tournament also included a Czech and Croatian (unofficial) national indoor football teams and German clubs Hamburger SV (reported as playing youngsters and reserve players), Ember Kickers, Lubeck, St. Pauli, and Alcona 93. Fredrikstad ended up winning the tournament after beating first defending champions Croatia in the semi finals, and then the Czech Republic in the finals 2-1 after trailing 0-1 at half time.
