EXCLUSIVE:
Egyptian keeper Rami Shaaban was linked with a move
to Malmo in the Swedish press. The club was said to
be interested in him, and he was said to be keen on
a move to the country of his birth. However, he has
stated to EgyptianPlayers.com that he is not interested
right now, and that the interest was a result of his
ex-manager becoming the Malmo gaffer.

"It's a lot of speculation,"
said Shaaban to EP regarding the interest from Malmo.
"But that's normal because the new manager is
the manager I have had all my time in Sweden, and I
speak to him on a regular basis," he added.
"He asked if I was interested, but it's not the
time and place at the moment," said the goalie,
who is struggling to find a club since being released
by Arsenal.

However, a return to Sweden is not out of the picture for
Rami, who concluded, "Maybe later in my career..."
Rami is however with no club, and so he can move freely at
any time of the season.
