As EP reported, Mohamed Shawky agreed
terms to join Turkish Super League club Kayserispor
for two seasons and a half. The troubled Egyptian failed
to play first team football for Middlesbrough even after
their relegation to the Championship and waited January
to revive his career by joining another club.
As EP reported a few days ago, Boro accepted
an offer from one of the Turkish Super League clubs
for Shawky. Shawky was allowed to leave on a free transfer
and the club is Kayserispor who acquired Shawky for
two years and a half.
Kayserispor are currently 4th in the table
and could qualify to Europa league next season if their
second half of season was successful as the first.
Mohamed Shawky will have this chance to revive his career
after he was frozen by Middlesbrough months before their
relegation. The Egyptian lost his place in the National
team accordingly and such a move will surely bring him
back to picture.
It should be noted that the fans of Kaserispor
expressed their delight with this transfer especially
after watching his memorable goal versus Brazil in the
Confederations Cup.
More on Shawky soon....
