Without Mido who has been ill and wasn't included in tofay's squad, Wigan achieved a 1-0 home win over Pompey. The only goal of the game came through Rodallega who tapped the ball in from cose range after a low cross from the left wing. The season finale also witnessed Boro's relegation after their 2-1 away loss against West Ham.

Mido, Zaki and Shawky in search for new clubs!

Wigan Athletic finished the season on a winning note after beating Portsmouth by a single goal at the JJB. Ill Mido wasn't included in Wigan squad for the match while the other on loan Egyptian Zaki had a permission not to play this game.

With today's match, both Egyptians will be returning to their original clubs. Zaki will be a Zamalek player again while Mido will return to Boro who got relegated to Championship after today's defeat.

Wigan started the game with Rodallega as the main forward. The Colombian new signing continued to impress and scored his 3rd goal in four appearances. Rodallega's goal came after a mistake by veteran Pompey defender Sol Campbell who failed to clear the ball which reached Rodallega who was left with a simple finish.

The victory was the first for Steve Bruce's men since March 22nd and saw them finish 11th in the table.

With today's game, Egyptians will switch their interest to other teams as no Egyptians will be playing for Wigan next season unless Steve Bruce decides to extend Mido's loan deal for another season or sign him permanently from Boro which seems unlikely.

On the other hand, Mohamed Shawky sat on bench in Boro's final match in the Premier League. The side lost by two goals to one to West Ham and got relegated to the Championship after finishing 19th. Newcastle United and WBA also got relegated from the Premier League.

With this defeat, Shawky will likely be heading to another team in the summer. According to his agent, there is interest in the player from Premier League clubs and other European leagues. However, nothing certain as of yet.
