for the World Cup qualifying match versus Algeria. Wigan
Athletic striker Mido wasn't included in the selection

As seen from the selection, the two main surprises are
the absence of fit Mido and Mohamed Barakat. It is clear
that the players who replaced Mido in selection (Ehab
El Masry, Ahmed Raouf and Abogresha) donot have the
same level of international experience of the Wigan
forward. So, it seems that the dropping of Mido from
selection might not be due to footballing reasons. On
the other hand, Mohamed Barakat's absence might be easier
to justify as the Egyptian team has many quality players
in this area.
