After his impressive display against
the Gunners last weekend, Mido won the praise of his
manager Steve Bruce who declared that he would be interested
in extending Mido's stay at Wigan.
Mido's goal and superb performance against
Arsenal on Saturday increased his chances of winning
a permanent deal at Wigan. The manager Steve Bruce declared
that he is quite impressed by the Egyptian's progress
and extending the player's stay at the club will be
very likely if he continues to improve.
"By the time Mido gets 100 per cent
fit the season will be over, but he's certainly getting
fitter.Bruce said
"We'll have to sit down at some point,
see where Boro are and what their situation is regarding
Mido He added. .
"They have Marlon King - who is our player - on
loan, so when the time is right we'll have a conversation.
"I think you can see why I like Mido. He's trained
hard since he's come here, done everything he possibly
can to get fitter.
"His fitness levels are getting better, and the
way he led the line against Arsenal was terrific.
"If he continues playing like that, of course
we'd be interested in taking him, but he's still a Middlesbrough
player."
Aside from mido's news, his teammate and compatriot
Amr Zaki will start light training and he will hopefully
will be fit to play against Blackburn.
It should be noted that Wigan were supposed to face
Manchester United next weekend but the match has been
re-arranged to a later date.
