Shawky is quoted as saying: "I will
not complete my contract length at Boro, and will start
from now to search for a new club."
He apparenty adds: "I haven't received any offers
yet but I have huge hope that they will come in the
coming period, especially from English clubs, who now
know my abilities."
Asked about Mido's departure from the Riverside, he
answered: "Mido underwent a lot of injustice here
(at the club). He was the best striker in the squad
and its top scorer, but despite this, he was not played
regularly."
It was expected that Shawky would be happy with the
chance to play in the Premiership, particularly as he
is yet to prove himself.
In the winter, he was reported by an English paper to
have received a loan offer from Crystal Palace, but
injuries led to Gareth Southgate's recent reliance on
him.
