Wigan will keep their international
striker Emile Heskey till summer. They are also set
to sign 23 year old Colombian international Hugo Rodallega
from Necaxa. This means that Bruce is likely to drop
all interest in Mido but the latter still have other
options.
Mido has always been the star of every transfer window.
The unsettled Egyptian is expected to leave Middlesbrough
this month but his future move is not yet known.
Wigan's boss Steve Bruce is a big fan of Mido and wanted
him as replacement for Emile Heskey who was on the verge
of leaving in the current transfer window. However,
it seems that Wigan's superb form in the Premiership
in the past two months convinced the England international
to stay at Wigan until summer.
With Wigan keeping Heskey and the news that revealed
their £4.5m signing of Hugo Rodallega from Mexican
side Necaxa, Bruce is expected to drop his interest
in Mido.
The Egyptian 25 year old striker will unlikely stay
at Boro though. He is not getting enough playing time
and only saw action for a few minutes in the last Premiership
match versus Sunderland. In addition to this, Boro are
struggling in the league and Hossam will likely feels
that he deserves moving to a midtable Premiership side.
It should be noted that Portsmouth and Newcastle are
showing serious interest in the Egyptian. While the
Newcastle swap deal fell through as Alan Smith refused
the transfer, Pompey's deal is still hot as they need
a replacement after the departure of Jermain Defoe who
returned back to his previous club Tottenham Hotspur.
In addition to this, French sources reported the interest
of Olympique Marseille to bring back Mido to their side
and other sources revealed Portguese interest in the
25 year old hitman.
All the latest on Mido's transfer rumours and offers
will be right here at EP....
