Mido in Setanta Sports Team of the Week:

Scored three goals in three games, had an immense impact as he came on versus Liverpool. TV sports channel Setanta Sports chose Mido in the best eleven of the week in the Enlgish Premiership. Here are their choices:

GK: Shay Given – Newcastle

Right Back: David Wheater – Middlesbrough

Centre Back: Steven Taylor - Newcastle

Centre Back: Brede Hangeland – Fulham

Left Back: Andrea Dossena – Liverpool

Right Midfield: Stephen Ireland – Manchester City

Centre Midfield: Danny Murphy – Fulham

Centre Midfield: Steven Gerrard – Liverpool

Left Midfield: Jonas Gutierrez – Newcastle

Striker: Mido – Middlesbrough

Striker: Carlos Tevez – Manchester United

The article on Setanta Sports mentioned the basis on which they selected Mido in the team of the week, the reporter said: Unfairly – in some quarters at least – dubbed as ‘Pie-do’ last season, The Egypt striker has shed more than a few pounds over the summer and has reaped immediate reward. Two goals in two games – the most recent of which, a daisy-cutting drive to take the lead against Liverpool – have made him hot property. Wigan are sniffing around but Gareth Southgate has, understandably, already declared his reluctance to sell.

Zaki substitute in Goal.com Team of the week:

Amr Zaki is quickly making a name for himself in the Premiership. If the Egyptian striker carried on at the same level of form and work rate, there will be no wonder if we see him as a striker for one of the top clubs in England next season.

Having played just a couople of Permiership matches, Zaki was selected a man of the match against Chelsea. He also made it to the team of the week by Goal.com website. Zaki was named among the substitute and not in the main eleven but it is still an honor for the Egyptian to have his name written amongst the giants of Europe's most competitive league.
