Steve Bruce, the manager at Wigan was on
verge of signing Mido last season when he was at helm
in Birmingham City. However, the Egyptian preferred
to join Boro at that time. Now, Bruce revealed that
he is still a fan of Mido and would like to bring him
to Wigan to pair with his compatriot Amr Zaki in attack.
Reports revealed that Wigan are on verge
of making a 6m pounds bid to sign Egyptian striker Mido
from Boro. The move will increase Mido's chances to
start as Wigan have shortage in forwards than Boro.
There is also possibility that Wigan offer to loan the
Egyptian if Boro rejects to let him go permanently.
However, Mido wants to stay at Boro for
some time for the sake of stability as the Egyptian
moved from club to another in a very little time frame.
Reports claimed that Mido didn't reject
the offer. He decided to negotiate and will meet with
Boro officials to come up with a decision.
It should be noted that Boro have better
chances in the Premiership this season than Wigan due
to the quality of players and the depth in their squad.
So, Mido will likely prefer staying at Boro for that
reason as well.
It is also worth mentioning that Mido
rejected an offer from Hamburg to sign the Egyptian
striker which led them to sign Ptric from Doortmund
instead in exchange for Zidan.
