Mohamed Shawky started on bench and came on with only
a few seconds left in the away clash between Boro and
Chelsea. Carvalho headed home in the opening five minutes
but Boro couldn't come back into the game.
Middlesbrough lost by a single goal to
Chelsea. An early goal in the 5th minute came via Carvalho
who headed home to give the Blues an early lead.
Despite scoring early in the game, Boro
didn't concede any other goals and were close to score
the equalizer in the 2nd half but the post denied them
in more than one occasion.
Mohamed Shawky came on with only three
minutes left and this wasn't enough for him to make
any impact.
It should b noted that Mido missed the game because
of suspension. The Egyptian also will miss games till
end of season as he will have to undergo a hernia operation.
