Marseille's manager Anigo seems to have
dropped Ahmed Hossam 'Mido', because he wants his new
striker on loan, Koke, to be ready for the Inter Milan
clash. Mido didn't start but instead came on after 70
minutes, something which surprised a few fans.
Steve Marlet was injured for a number
of weeks, and so it was expected that Mido starts with
Drogba. However, the manager started Drogba and Sergio
Contreras Pardo, known as 'Koke'.
Ahmed Hossam picked up another yellow card in the last
Uefa Cup match, thus suspending him for the quarter
final encounter against Inter Milan. This means that
Anigo needs someone alongside Drogba, but Marlet is
injured. For this reason, he played Koke. The Spanish
striker had only seen 13 minutes of action for Marseille,
so he needed to get used to the style of play.
Meanwhile, some other rumours are developing that Mido
had another argument with his manager, but this is far
from confirmed.
