Mido finally started for Boro in the away FA Cup clash with Sheffield United. The Egyptian looked in a very good shape and was the best performer on Boro's side. He won many headers, his movement and passing were good and he almost scored from a great overhead kick early on in the second half. On the other hand, Shawky was rested and didn't make it to last 16. The game ended in a draw and replay will decide the team which will advance to quarter finals.

Mido's bicycle kick was the highlight of the game

For the first time since the 20th of October, Egyptian striker Made started for Boro. They faced former club of Ahmed Fathy, Sheffield United in an away FZ cup encounter.

The game ended in a 0-0 draw and a replay on the 26th this month will decide the winner. Mido played from the start and was replaced by Alonso Alves in the 74th minute.

The Egyptian had a decent game after he lost some extra kilograms. Mido is not on top form yet and it was obvious that he can't play an entire game yet but he showed some classy touches throughout the game.

The Egyptian made a great through pass to Aliadiere in th first half but the latter couldn't keep the ball close to his feet enough and he chance went begging.

Minutes later, Mido was onside and received the ball, he tried to chip the ball to Aliadiere but his pass was very poor and the chance was squandered.

In the second half, Mido continued to win headers in the air and most of his passes were complete. HE started to get close on goal in the 57th minute when he tried a bicycle kick but the goalkeeper managed to turn Mido's shot behind for a corner.

Hossam continued to look dangerous and mobiletill he was substituted However, the Egyptian still has plenty to offer as he slowly gets back to full fitness and top form.

Despite the good form of Mido, hewas unfairly dubbed unprofessional and not a true striker by radio analysts following the game against Sheffield United.

BBC national radio analysts said that "Mido survived Southgate's half-time team talk."

They added that he is "masquerading as a striker, and that's the most polite thing we can say." (Masquerading means disguising or pretending to be).

After his second half performance, which saw a decent double-kick attempt, they added that he has "undoubted quality but lacks professionalism."

The Egyptian is yet to have the desired effect at Middlesbrough but has been short of games this season due to his persistent groin injury.
