Mido played 45 minutes for the Middlesbrough reserves, ending the three-match delay of his expected return.

The Egyptian looked in the right shape to make his return to the Premiership match squad next weekend, English radio reported.

This, they added, is good news for Gareth Southgate, who will want Mido back in the starting eleven within a couple more weeks.
