Egyptian striker Mido returned back from injury and
faced the Blues in a home clash in the Premiership.
Boro entered the game with a good record against Chelsea
as they won the last two home matches versus the Premiership
giants. The homeside fans and players wished to continue
their impressive results against Chelsea but the game
ended in a 0-2 defeat to add to the Misery of Southgate
and his players.
Mido battled hard in the game and almost scored from
a powerful header, but Peter Cech made an excellent
reflex save to deny the Egyptian from scoring his first
ever goal in the Blues net. On the other hamnd, Mohamed
Shawky was once again left out of the selection.
Mido's former teammate at Marseille Drogba scored the
opening goal for Chelsea after a fine one-two while
Alex added the 2nd goal in the 2nd half from a well
placed freekick.
It should be noted that Middlesboro failed to any any
matches since their home win against Birmingham City.
The poor form of Mido and Shawky's side put them now
in the 17th spot in te table.
