Veteran goalkeeper Mark Shwarzer knows what is Mido
capable of even before they became teammates this season
as Egyptian ace Mido already netted twice against him
in the last couple of years while playing for Tottenham.
Schwarzer believes that Mido will be the key for Boro
to achieve their 3rd consecutive win over Chelsea as
the past two encounters at Boro's home turf ended in
a 2-1 and 3-0 wins for Boro.
"Whenever any opposition sees him on the team
sheet they are going to be concerned," said Schwarzer.
"He does throw himself about, he does cause trouble,
he's a very physical player and defenders don't like
playing against him because of that reason.
"He's already scored some crucial goals for us.
We need a fit Mido on the pitch, as we do with the rest
of the players. The sooner we can do that, the sooner
we can move up the table."
The Boro keeper is aware that Chelsea lost alot of
their potential after the departure of Maurinho and
Boro should take full advantage of the situation.
"They haven't played as well as they have previously.
"I think they are in a transitional period with
their new manager and he's still finding his feet as
other players get to understand and realise the sort
of football that he wants to play.
"It's going to be difficult for them but they're
top quality side and a top quality squad and whatever
team they play, it will be a big test for us."
It should be noted that Chelsea will miss a couple
of their key defenders in today's game who are John
Terry and Ashley Cole.
EP hopes that Mido can make a difference in this afternoon
match to end Boro's recent form crisis.
