Mido got back to action after recovering
from injury this afternoon as Boro faced Everton in
a difficult away encounter. The game ended in a 2-0
defeat for Mido and Shawky's side who used their chances
well.

4th min. Real chance for Boro went begging! Dong Lee
advanced with the ball and had all the time in the world
to pass to the onside Mido but he chose to pass the
ball to Boating who missed from a few yards away from
goal.
7th min. GOAL FOR EVERTON! Poor defending from Boro
in a corner kick cost the guests dear, the ball was
headed on in the near post and Boro defenders tried
to cleare the header off the line but it went to Lescott
with the goal at his mercy and he headed it home to
make the score 1-0.
11th min. The ball was played high to Mido, the Egyptian
jumped high with his marker to get to the ball which
was headed away to find O'Neil a few yards away from
goal, he controlled it well on his chest but his end
product was severily lacking as his weak shot was saved.
13th min. Freekick for a handball by Mido. He was lucky
not to go away with a yellow card!
16th min. Corner kick for Boro. The cross was made
and Mido controlled the ball well on his chest but his
right footed volley shot was blocked by defense.
18th min. Freekick in a good position for Boro after
a foul on Dong Lee. Downing tried to chip the ball over
the defensive wall but his shot came off the wall and
the chance came to nothing.
19th min. Cross from the left wing into Boro's area,
Yakubu tried a header but he couldn't keep it down.
22nd min. Freekick for a foul on Mido by Arteta.
25th min. Dong Lee hit the bar! Some nice work in the
right flank ended with a cross into the box to Lee who
hit the bar with a fine header.
30th min. Yakubu tried to hit the target from the edge
of the box with a volley shot but the goalkeeper had
no problems with it.
322nd min. Mido gave away possession cheaply in the
box and Everton started a fast counter attacking move
which ended with a shot from Arteta but the Boro keeper
dealt well with it.
35th min. Mido got the ball in the left wing, he crossed
into the box but Everton defense headed the ball behind
for a corner.
37th min. Everton defenders gave away possession far
too cheaply and Dong Lee tried to find O'Neil with a
through pass but the latter was in offside position.
39th min. Right wing cross from the righht hand side
into the box, Pienaar went for the header but it sailed
over the bar.
42nd min. Yellow card for Mido after an aerial challenge
with an Everton defender.
44th min. Neville tried to bend a shot from way out
but Boro;'s keeper had no problems with that.
45th min. End of the first half
