It seems that Mido's move to Boro will
not go smoothly as it was expected earlier. Some British
reports revealed today that the club have struck an
obstacle in their bid to sign Tottenham's striker Mido.
Boro's manager Gareth Southgate was quoted
saying: "It is still in negotiation with his club.
We thought it was sorted but there has been a bit of
a twist to it and we have to be patient."
When asked what the "twist" was, Southgate
said: "Just the deal seems to be a bit different
for us compared to other clubs. We are still in negotiations."
In EP's previous report,
EP revealed that Sunderland didn't lose hope in landing
the Egyptian hitman and they brought a new improved
offer to Tottenham to sign the Egyptian.
EP have learnt that the new offer is a price increase
as the newly promoted side are offering £7.5million
to be paid in installments.
Since Sunderland offered an extra £1.5million,
Levy is now asking Middleboro to pay £7.5million
as well.
It should be noted that Mido already agreed terms with
Boro and completed a medical. His deal was expected
to be complete on Monday but it seems that the transfer
will be delayed after the recent developments.
In a report by ThePeople.co.uk, it was suggested that
Boro might switch their interest to the Czech international
Milan Baros if they can't afford Mido's new price tag.
