Egyptian striker Mido will sign for the
"Black Cats" for a fee worth £6m. The
DailyMirror claimed that the deal will be completed
within the next 24 hours.
Mido couldn't agree terms with Birmingham
City because of some clauses in his contract and returned
to Spurs to train with the club till another offer appears
in the horizon.
The Daily Mirror caimed this noon that
Suderland offered Spurs a record bid of £6m for
the Egyptian and the Black Cats agreed to pay Mido £40.000
a week.
According to these reports, the Egyptian
will be transferred permanently to Sunderland and Ironically,
he will face Tottenham in the first week of the English
Premiership!.
It should be noted that Sunderland manager
is the former Manchester United defensive midfielder
Roy Keane and the latter has already spent £5
million on a striker this summer in Michael Chopra,
who arrived from Cardiff City.
Mido is expected to start together with Chopra in attack
and the Egyptian will not find it hard to get in the
starting eleven because of the lack of quality forwards
in his new side.
More on Mido soon..
