It seems that
Fulham is the closest club to sign the Egyptian striker
Mido. Many British news sources claimed that talks between
Al-Fayed side and Mido's representative has reached
an advanced stage and a deal should be completed in
the coming few days.
As EP reported a few days ago, Fulham
appear to be winning the race for Mido's signing. More
than a British news source revealed that talks between
Fulham and Tottenham has reached an advanced stage.
Reports also claim that the deal will be completed in
the next few days.
The move from Tottenham to Fulham could
be described as a backward move. However, it is a chance
of a lifetime for the Egyptian to regain his form and
move to a better club.
Mido faced similar hard times when he
was playing for Roma with Del Neri at the helm, he wanted
to move to a smaller club in order to find his form
and his move to Spurs helped him achieve this objective.
Now, Fulham appear to be the club that
can help Mido shine once more. He will not have a problem
to start every game and the gameplay style is similar
to Spurs style in the first season for Mido there. They
relied completely on long ball and Mido proved to be
very effective as target man at that time. In the 2nd
season, Spurs changed their play style and they no longer
use long ball style and so, Mido had less use at the
lane.
The story should unfold in a few days and EP will keep
you updated as always..
