In an unappreciative gesture,
the Tottenham faithful have dubbed Mido the 'worst player'
this season, as well as the most player that they would
like to see leave White Hart Lane. On the other hand,
Dimitar Berbatov scooped the 'best player' awards.
National newspaper The Independent holds
season reviews for each club, in which fans send in
their reviews of the season. Among them is the 'Worst
Player' for each club, and 'Who do you want to see the
back of?'
Whilst Bulgarian striker Berbatov won much praise throughout
the season review, Mido was quite the opposite. The
reason for being the worst player was apparently a lack
of hunger; hard to believe with him having played only
a few games. And he was even ridiculed as being overweight
with reference to his back being literally big.
'Worst Player': Mido "Lack of appropriate hunger."
'Who do you want to see the back of?': Mido "Although
it is quite a big back."
Mido said earlier this week that should he get the right
offer, he will leave Tottenham. Until now however, he
remains contracted to the club, as does fellow Egyptian
Hossam Ghaly, who received a large chunk of stick from
the club's supporters on the penultimate day of the
season.
