Regarding the current season with Tottenham, the Egyptian admitted that it was his worst since the start of his career:

"I am facing many difficulties this season. Injuries have kept hitting me every time I score and get on form. I have to start all over again every time and struggle to get back into selection."

The Egyptian also added that Dimitar Berbatov's superb form is another major factor that has resulted in him not getting enough playing time.

"The club signed Dimitar Berbatov this season and he is on great form and scoring many goals. In order to play, I have to remain free of injuries and then wait for my chance when Berbatov is not available or not scoring.

"All players face hard times like this during their careers. However, I am keen on getting back to my top form and getting more playing time.

"I am not a player who will be happy earning money without playing. I want to play more and when I play more, I will score."

The striker is also uncertain as to whether he will remain at the club. "I will discuss my situation with Martin Jol at the end of the season, and I will consider offers if I don't play regularly with Tottenham."

Hossam revealed that Manchester City and Celta Vigo are still keen on signing him in the summer:

"I have a very good offer from Manchester City. Celta Vigo also want me," he claimed.

The most interesting part in Mido's interview came when he revealed that Ronald Koeman called him and wanted him to wear the PSV Eindhoven shirt next season.

"(Ronald) Koeman phoned me lately and revealed that he is interested in signing me," said Mido.

It seems odd after the famous bust-up between Mido and Koeman when both were at Ajax that the Dutchman is still interested in working again with the Egyptian international.

It is clear that Manchester City are closer to landing Mido than PSV and Vigo as City almost signed the Egyptian in the last transfer window. Vigo on the other hand simply can't afford Mido's wages and at PSV, there is Koeman at the helm and for that reason, it might not be the most ideal place for Mido, as he exceled at Ajax before the bad events.
