Ahmed Hossam this time made some positive comments. Speaking about his compatriot Hossam Ghaly, the striker praised him as "a very good player" who has "quality."

"I am not saying this because he is my friend," said Mido to the club's official website, "but Ghaly can play anywhere on the pitch except goalkeeper.

"In the national team he has played in central defence, at right back, centre midfield, out wide, as a striker or a Number 10.

"He is strong physically and very good with the ball. He still has to develop some areas of his game - he knows that - and it is not a problem.

"He loves to tackle - I think he does it in his sleep! He has got only one yellow card though and that is a good sign."

Mido added that he was advising Ghaly to wait for his chance during the past months. "Ghaly is a very good player. When he wasn't playing I always spoke to him and said he had to be patient and wait for the chance to show his quality - because he has it. The problems only come if you don't have the quality.

"If you have it you will get your chance. If you look at a player like Danny Murphy, for example, he didn't play a lot last season but he is playing now because he has the quality and has done very well in the last four games."
