Dimitar Berbatov is still not fully fit, and has been fined after making negative comments after the last Bulgarian national team match. The off-the-pitch comments seem to be a problem for the Spurs strikers, with Mido's remarks on Sol Campbell still in everyone's memory. The latest person to criticise Mido was the Portsmouth captain Stefanoivc, who dubbed Mido disrespectful.

Teemu Tainio, meanwhile, is injured, which may affect Ghaly's situation. It would mean that with Lennon also out, Jenas will stick to the centre of the midfield, putting Ghaly once more on the right side in the next clashes.

Meanwhile, it is still likely that Jermain Defoe will depart from the Lane, after this season's ambitious Aston Villa club showed an interest. Portsmouth were keen on the striker in the summer too, and Spurs have not denied that they would be happy to sell if the right bid is put forward.
