The game was disppointing for Roma as
they played with one man down after the sending off
of De Rossi in the 42 minute. Not only this, but Aquilani
also received a red card in the 2nd half.
Mido played the match as the lone striker
at front and had Totti supporting him. However, the
lack of support was very obvious and Mido had to return
often to midflied area to receive the ball.
In addition to this, the Egyptian couldn't
get any attempts on goal as Valncia's defense was very
well organised. Roma didn't use the wings often and
all their play was merely short passing and so, they
didn't take any advantage from Mido's aerial abilities.
On the other side, Valencia were well organized in defense
and their passing was much better. They created more
chances and scored two fine goals (one in each half).
It should be noted that the Egyptian was
replaced a few minutes before the end with Nonda.
