The news suggested that
Mido had rejected an offer from Blackburn to land the
Egyptian as he wanted to fight for his place
at Roma. However, the player has been told that he has
no place in the team and that Roma officials want to
offload him to another club.
Based on this decision from Roma's board
and on the fact that Backburn Rovers are very keen on
landing Mido, the Egyptian decided to re-open talks
with the Premiership club through his Italian agent
Mino Raiola.
It should be noted that Rovers bid for Mido is worth
€5 million and reports claim that they decided
to up the player wages from €1.5 million to €1.8
to make it easier for the Egyptian to accept their terms.
