Blackburn finished 6th last season and
are one of only four teams to win the 'Premier League'
since it was started. After their UEFA Cup qualification
manager Mark Hughes is looking to boost his chances
of repeating this success next season, and Mido could
help that.
The club chairman John Williams revealed to the Lancashire
Evening Telegraph that "Mido is on a list of names
that Mark has discussed with the board."
He added: "We are trying to bring in a striker
and there are four or five names on our list."
Rovers finished just 2 points behind Spurs last season;
indeed it was Mido's winner against Blackburn that technically
merited Tottenham this 5th place finish ahead of what
could be his future club.
Blackburn are currently full of ambition, and with Craig
Bellamy on superb form, many have suggested that the
team needs a player capable of heading and shinning
the ball in, something Mido can do a little better than
current target-man Shefki Kuqi.
