Bayern Leverkusen's
Bulgarian target man, Berbatov is currently on his way
to join the Spurs this summer. Reports suggest that
the target man will replace Mido who is expected to
return back to Roma after his loan period expires on
the 1st of June.
It seems that Mido has no future at Tottenham
despite the big contribution from his side in Spurs
success this season. However, his knee problems will
very likely prevent him from signing a permanent deal
with Tottenham.
On the other side, the Spurs are currently
in a race with other Premiership clubs to land the Bulgarian
international Berbatov from Leverkusen. The Bulgarian
tall man could be the possible new target man for Spurs
as Mido prepares to return to AS Roma or move to another
club that may afford his price tag.
The situation may sound harsh for the
Egyptian striker who was arguably the best Tottenham
finisher in the first half of season, but his repeated
injuries and overweight issues prevented him from featuring
in many games in the 2nd half of season.
Mido had hoped to sign a permanent deal with Spurs but
the English side seems unwilling to make a bid while
they could possibly spend £10.7m to land Berbatov.
Of course, Mido would cost much less than the Bulgarian
plus he already proved his worth in the English Premiership
and also he is slightly younger than the 25 year old
Berbatov.
