The Spurs are through to the final of the Peace Cup after their 1-1 draw with Sociedad. The point was enough for Tottenham to face Lyon in the final as they have superior goal difference to Boca Juniors.

Mido led Tottenham to Peace Cup final

First Half:

5th min. Long ball to Mido, the Egyptian tried to lay the ball with the back of his head to Defoe but the defender was closer to the ball.

7th min. Powerful headed by Kovacevic but it was denied by the Spurs keeper. The referee whistled for an offside on the Sociedad forward though.

9th min. Carrick crossed the ball form the right wing to find Defoe who fired a volley at goal but it was blocked by defense.

15th min. WHAT A CHANCE FOR MIDO! the ball was chipped brilliantly to Mido in the area, the Egyptian controlled the ball well on his chest, managed to get it past the keeper and tried to squeeze it home with his left but it hit the side netting.

16th min. Dangerous cross to Defoe who tried a volley at goal but his shot went over.

22nd min. Long pass behind the Spurs defense, The Korean strike of Sociedad controlled the ball but he had to go back for support and the chance was squandered.

27th min. Defoe tried to find Mido with a through pass but it wasn't accurate enough and was collected by Sociedad's keeper in the end.

34th min. Dangerous freekick played into the Spurs area but the defense cleared it for a corner. The corner kick was taken by the Korean striker Lee but the Spurs defense was up to the challenge once again and cleared the dangerous situation.

38th min. Pressure continued from Real Sociedad's side but without marked danger.

40th min. Through pass to Mido behind the Sociedad's defense but the Egyptian was in offside position.

42nd min. MIDO SCORED FOR TOTTENHAM! A through pass was made to Defoe, the English international took the ball past the keeper but he fell onto the ground, Mido was following and buried the ball home with his left to give the Spurs the lead.

43rd min. Through pass to Kovacevic, he fell theatrically in the penalty area and the referee had to show him a 2ND YELLOW CARD. Sociedad will continue ti ten men on the field.

45th min. End of the first half.

Second half:

46th min. SOCIEDAD EQUALIZED! A though pass was played to Sociedad's forward and the defense couldn't clear the ball well, it fell to their no. 21 who put it home into the empty net.

47th min. Superb chip from Sociedad's no. 24 but the Spurs keeper turned the ball away for a corner at full stretch.

49th min. Another through pass into the Spurs area, the keeper rushed out quickly and blocked the ball at the attacker's feet though.

50th min. Dangerous cross from the right wing into the Spurs area but the defense headed it behind for a corner.

52nd min. Da Silva almost scored but Mendes cleared the ball off the line.

55th min. WHAT A WASTED CHANCE! The ball fell to Mido in the area who took it past the keeper but couldn't keep the ball under control and it was cleared for a corner.

59th min. Defoe got the ball behind the defense, he managed to keep the ball under pressure from Sociedad's defense and sent a shot at goal but the ball was blocked by his marker and went for a corner.

60th min. Dangerous attempt from Lee Chun Soo but the ball sailed over the bar.

61st min. GREAT VOLLEY BY MIDO! The ball fell to the Egyptian at the edge of the box who fired a volley with his left. However, Mido's volley wasn't accurate enough and missed the target.

65th min. De Paula headed the ball at goal but it went just wide.

67th min. Low pass to Defoe in the area, he moved well and shot it directly at goal but Sociedad's keeper was well positioned and collected it after a 2nd attempt.

70th min. Wasted chance by Defoe! He got the ball in front of goal but his shot lacked power and placement and went into the arms of the goalkeeper.

71st min. Mido out and Keane in.

77th min. Defoe set the ball to Keane in the area but the latter shot was blocked for a corner.

84th min. Reid crossed the ball to the totally unmarked Defoe in front of goal, Defoe met the ball directly but his shot went into the arms of the keeper.

86th min. Defoe played a through pass to Keane who outpaced his marker and tried a shot but it went over the bar.

88th min. Through pass by El Hamdaoui (who replaced Defoe) to Keane who tried to put it home directly but the Sociedad keeper managed to save it easily.

90th min. Sociedad's keeper did well to turn a shot aimed at his goal by Marney.

90th min. Final whistle. Spurs 1-1 Real Sociedad.
