Egyptian international Ibrahim Said was named as sub in Everton's away Premiership match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Prematch:

Everton's coach David Moyes selected Ibrahim Said as a sub for the game while he started with the other new signing, Brian Mcbride. The American international played together with Radzinski as strikers.

 

First half:

Good start from Everton, the away team had more possession in the midfield but no danger yet.

10th min. GOAL FOR EVERTON! Through pass made to Brian McBride, the latter was in the clear and sent the ball low at the left of his compatriot Casey Keller to make it 1-0.

12th min. Everton's defense intercepted the cross before Iversen. The ball was cleared for a corner.

13th min. TOTTENHAM EQUALIZED! The corner was delivered high into the area, the ball was headed clear poorly and one of Tottenham players sent it back with his head to the area to find Gustavo Poyet who changed the ball direction with his head and scored the equalizer.

18th min. Long ball from the Nigerian defender Joseph Yobo to Watson in the area, the latter headed the ball well at goal but Tottenham's goalkeeper Keller made a fingertip save and the ball was cleared for a corner.

25th min. Long range effort from Everton's Radzinski, the ball gazed the crossbar though.

27th min. Tottenham's Darren Anderton tried one from outside the area but the ball went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper.

37th min. Freekick outside the area for Everton, Stubbs blasted the shot just over the crossbar.

43rd min. Everton's keeper kept a dangerous attempt from a long range shot away.

45th min. End of first half.

Second half:

48th min. Everton's Alessandro Pistone sent a shot from outside the area, however, the American international goalkeeper Casey Keller made a comfortable save.

49th min. ROBBIE KEANE MADE IT 2-1 FOR TOTTENHAM! The Irish international striker received a superb through pass from Darren Anderton, Keane was onside and had only the keeper to beat, he was able to round the keeper and score.

51st min. Everton's keeper made a great fingertip save and held the score to 2-1.

57th min. Great right wing cross to Stubbs, the later headed the ball superbly at goal but Tottenham's keeper Keller turned the ball away for a corner.

58th min. EVERTON EQUALIZED THROUGH WATSON! The corner was delivered high into the box, the ball hit a defender and bounced back to Watson who took it directly away from Keller's reach. 2-2 now.

62nd min. Poyet sent a surprising shot at goal, but Everton's keeper was able to make the save.

66th min. Robbie Keane advanced well with the ball and tried to place the ball into the right side of the net. However, the ball gazed the post.

68th min. ROBBIE KEANE MADE IT 3-2 FOR TOTTENHAM! Darren Anderton sent a low pass to Keane, the latter sent a low shot from outside the area. The desperate goalkeeper couldn't keep the ball out and it went into the back of the net.

71st min. Through pass to Tottenham's Stephen Iversen, the latter was onside, one on one with the keeper and tried to chip it over him but the ball went over.

74th min. RADZINSKI LEVELLED THE GAME AGAIN! Three direct passes ended with Radzinski in the end who sent a perfect shot with his left, Keller had no chance and the score became 3-3!

79th min. Freekick for Tottenham outside the area. Darren Anderton sent a low shot but it went just wide.

83rd min. ROBBIE KEANE SEALED HIS HAT-TRICK AND MADE IT 4-3 FOR TOTTENHAM! A goalkick for Everton was played long. The ball was headed by one of Tottenham's players and Everton's defender Stubbs made a terrible timing mistake as he missed the ball. The ball went to the onside Keane who dribbled past Yobo and sent the ball over the body of the keeper into the back of the net.

90th min. Final whistle.

Final score: Tottenham 4-3 Everton.

Bottom line: The game was rather interesting from both sides, Said will get his chance soon as Everton's defense appeared very shaky during the game and allowed Robbie Keane to score three times from obvious defensive and marking mistakes. Moyes didn't run the risk and kept Said on bench as the deficit was narrow during the whole 90 minutes.
