As EP reported in the past, the two twenty year olds, Farag and Ghanem, were set to leave their clubs Strasbourg (France) and Legia Warsaw (Poland).

Despite a decent start in Strasbourg's B team, Farag was never promoted and two months after returning from a rather unsuccessful loan period at Al-Ahly, his contract was mutually terminated by the French outfit. Though he trialed in Belgium, Farag has this month signed for Egyptian club Ismaily on a free transfer. He joins the Daraweesh - currently 2nd in the league - in a hope to regain his form in one of the strongest midfields in Egypt.

Meanwhile, as was expected, Ahmed Ghanem made his move back to Zamalek from Legia Warsaw. The winger had been on the transfer list for almost a year, with the manager feeling that he is not yet ready for a starting place. Ghanem, in return, was keen on leaving, and despite reported offers from other Polish clubs, he chose the team of his youth.

On Thursday, Ghanem made his Zamalek debut and impressed with his dazzling runs and extraordinary pace. It would be wholly surprising if he didn't return to Europe shortly.
