Feyenoord to play FC Groningen
Date: 2-5-2004
Wrote: EP's reporter in Holland Jelke Wissing

This sunday at 14.30 dutch time, it will be another decisive day for Feyenoord, with 3 games left to play. The batlle for the 2nd place and right to play in the CL qualifying is still ongoing and just 3 points away from Ghaly's side.

Although Hossam Ghaly got slightly injured and the coach holded his breath, because he didn't want to lose him with the facts saying since Ghaly came into the squad they never lost. But fortunately it didn't get any worse, he felt better yesterday at the training and was even as fit as before.

The physio has certainly done him good and he is prepared to play today against FC Groningen. Patrick Paauwe might not be availiable today after he got a kick against his ankle the defence might get worse when he doesn't play as last week Schreuder (his replacement) didn't do so well.

With only 1 thing to worry about, the absence of Paauwe. Feyenoord almost got full squad for the game. A win will surely be added on the win/no loss streak that Feyenoord are having recently.

The line-up will be:

Zoetebier; Song, Van den Berg, Paauwe (Schreuder), Mtiliga; Smolarek, Ono, Ghaly, Lurling; Buffel en Kuyt.
