Ghaly travelled yesterday to KSA in order to finalise
his transfer deal to Al-Nasr. The 27 year old will be
transferred from Spurs to the Saudi outfit for three
years.
Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly paid
the price of making silly mistakes in a league that
won't accept that professionals do such poor decisions.
This was also combined with double standards from Tottenham
Hotspur fans and management that let them forget similar
behavior from the team star Robbie keane but take a
serious action by freezing Ghaly for two years.
Ghaly made a mistake and apologized but
his club and fans showed their extreme behavior against
him. He was frozen out the squad for two seasons and
when he had the chance to represent the team again in
Carling Cup, the fans showed their extremism and destroyed
his morale by booing him as he wanted to come on.
For these reasons, Ghaly decided to call
it a day and end his professional career in Europe.
Ghaly can't be blamed for this decision but a better
activity from his agent could get him a much better
deal outside England.
The Egyptian arrived yesterday in KSA and looked
happy to join Al-Nasr. The 6th club in the Saudi league are
looking to improve their midfield and Ghaly was the right
answer for them and their fans who are still in disbelief
that a player of Premier League standards will wear their
shirt.
This is surely a big lesson that Ghaly has learnt
as he is still suffering from the consequences of a silly
mistake that he made a couple of years ago.
