Despite the angry reaction from Spurs fans on Friday
towards Ghaly, the latterr is expected to play a role
in tonight's Carling Cup match versus Burnley.
Spurs new boss Harry Redknapp (pictured)
continued to back his Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly.
Redknapp showed that he is willing to give Ghaly a more
important role in the team especially with Tottenham
facing injury problems ahead of the semi-final first-leg
against Burnley.
"I don't think he was being disrespectful to Tottenham.
I've seen other players take their shirts off when they
get taken off," Redknapp said.
"He was just was very annoyed at being brought
on and then subbed. Who wouldn't be annoyed? That is
as low as you can go.
Redknapp asked the fans to "move on" and
forget the incident of throwing the shirt completely.
"If you're supposed to have a smile on your face then
you're in the wrong game. That was a rarity. People should
forgive and forget - let's move on."
It will not be surprising at all to see Hossam Ghaly starting
or even coming on as a sub at least in tonight's game versus
Burnley.
