Hossam Ghaly's Derby failed to impress
on Saturday afternoon and deserved their 2-0 loss at
the hands of Wigan.
Ghaly played the game from the start and
created some chances in the first half, but he also
gave away possession cheaply in other occasions and
was replaced in the 61st minute.
Both goals came in the 2nd half, the first
came in the 59th minute when Scharner slotted the ball
home with his left from close range to give Wigan the
lead.
Two minutes after the goal, Ghaly was
replaced but this didn't prevent his side from conceding
another goal in the 84th minute as Valencia got inside
the box and dribbled into the middle before firing a
rising shot into the top of the net to make the score
2-0.
With this result, Derby remained rock
bottom with nine points from 27 games. On the other
hand, Wigan became 14th with 276 points.
It should be noted that Hossam Ghaly got
a rating of 5 by SkySports while the fans gave him 6.7
(Best rated Derby player).

Rams coach slams team:
Derby County coach Paul Jewel was furious with
his players after the match and slammed the team. The manager
said that the team is miles away from Premiership standards
and the players are not even trying. He also added that many
of the players are not good enough even for the championship
level!.
"I'm embarrassed," he told Sky Sports.
"Not because it's at Wigan, but because of the way we
played.
"Nobody likes losing - you can accept losing, but not
on a performance like that. It was a disgrace.
"Today is a million, million miles away - light years
away - from a so-called Premier League team.
"That performance wouldn't win any game at any level
of football and the sooner we get this season out of the way
the better."
I t should be noted that Ghaly still have 13 matches to play
for Derby before the end of season. After that, Ghaly will be
back at Tottenham and will either be sold or return as Spurs
player once again.
