Hossam Ghaly played a full match versus Man City on
Wednesday night. The Egyptian and his teammates hold
City to a 1-1 draw and even could win the game. Derby
scored first after a move which started with Ghaly and
ended with a deflected shot by Earnshaw whose shot hit
the defender Jihai and went in to five Derby the lead.
However, Sturridge equalized in the 2nd half and the
game ended in a draw.
Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly played another full
match for bottom team Derby County. The Egyptian also
participated in midweek fixture in the FA cup and it
ended in a 1-4 home defeat for his side against Preston
North End.
Last night's match versus Manchester City
was considerably good for the struggling side and Ghaly
showed some good touches.
The first half witnessed a few real chances
for Manchester City especially Vassel who squandered
two chances in front of goal. On the other side, Derby's
Earnshaw had an effort on goal but his shot was denied
by the foot of the post.
In the 2nd half, Derby managed to take
the lead early on as Hossam Ghaly tried to dribble into
the box but he was blocked by three defenders, the ball
came to Earnshaw who his it low to strike the body of
Jihai and go inside the goal leaving City's goalkeeper
with no chance.
After the goal, Derby looked in better form than their previous
matches and continued to press on Manchester City but lack
of concentration cost Derby dear as Sturridge scored from
a fast counter attacking move to make the score 1-1.
Hossam Ghaly made some neat touches and showed
good vision with his passes. His highlights can be downloaded
from the multimedia section. Despite this, he made some mistakes
as he gave away possession cheaply in some occasions and also
got a yellow card after a deliberate handball.
The draw won't chance Derby's situation as they
still rock bottom with 8 points.
